The patterns in multiple colours are definitely written expecting you to change colour since at the end of the round you will break and join in elsewhere. So far I've made the big round one on the front cover (with a few minor modifications). As the other review states it is written more for the experienced crocheter but these days I think with youtube and web search most of the questions of "what do I do here" can be pretty easily answered. Also the back of the book has a chart describing the stitches so it's more the "what does this mean" than "how do I do this stitch". Overall though I managed this with minimal drama and though I made this for a present I kind of want to keep it.

This is a very different crochet book, but has rich patterns inside its pages. The great details of the outstanding patterns are breath taken when you finish then and see the hidden beauty in each one. It is worth every penny you pay. I was very lucky to find a used one that was in new condition. I made several with my colors and they all turn out. I'm going to make them all and in several different colors to place around the house. You will feel the same as I did when you get yours and make the first one, you will have a hard time putting it down till you made them all.

While this booklet contains several beautiful crochet designs, they really are not for the beginner and you really need to know how to read the patterns. Its more for the person who has been crochets a while and wants to move on to new things. The patterns though are absolutely beautiful!!!
